Job Description

TSPi is a dependable and trusted IT solutions provider. Using our technological expertise and industry specific knowledge, we offer our clients end-to-end solutions to their market specific challenges. We are looking for a Junior QA Tester to provide application development and consulting support to our government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Test report documentation.
  • Test case development
  • 508 Compliance test execution
  • Bug management and error tracking
  • Tracking status of defects and reporting completion of remediation efforts
  • Manual testing of software functionality
  • Coordination and prioritization of testing activities
  • Comfortable in Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum / SAFe

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience testing in an agile development environment
  • Exposure to 508 Compliance Testing and related tools (such as JAWS, NVDA, WAVE, ANDI and Axe)
  • Demonstrated Documentation and Reporting experience
  • Exposure to 508 Compliance test creation and execution
  • Basic understanding of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree–preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem determination skills
  • Highly organized and responsible
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query scripting
  • Experience with formal testing of complex server-based software systems
  • Experience with commercial bug management systems
  • Exposure to GSA Government Section 508 Accessibility requirements
  • Experience with executing functional testing
  • Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
  • Experience with reporting of test results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Test Case Development based on software engineering documentation (testing based on product requirements) with Hands on experience
  • Experience with Quality Assurance practices and Testing Methodologies

Preferred Skills & Experience:


  • Experience with the compliancy requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for web applications design.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance best practices and testing methodologies
  • Due to Federal Government contract requirements, only US Citizens and Permanent Residents can be considered for this position.
  • Test Plan, Test Case, and Test Report Development experience based on software engineering requirements/design documentation
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with formal testing of complex server-based software systems
