Description:

This is a hybrid position, requiring in person work at the Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor office on a part-time basis.
Supports and executes the administration of the Michigan portfolio. Performs administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive real estate, accounting, and property management .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in developing budget for current properties and accountable to monitor budgets, expenses and revenues, capital forecasts and other financial activity for any variances .
  • Provides administrative support to department Director and Property Managers.
  • Regularly engages in a variety of contacts inside and outside the organization to obtain or relay information, gather data, etc., often dealing with executives, medical staff or influential external stakeholders.
  • Completes check requests and purchase orders; reviews contracts and statements related to such.
  • Prepares lease documents as directed. Draft basic leases and amendments using Trinity Health Real Estate templates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Reviews receivable agings monthly, follows up with Tenants and calculates late fee charges.
  • Receives property management requests; triages and prioritizes issues; and routes to appropriate resources or otherwise takes action with very limited supervision.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential data and information with strict discretion.
  • Responsible to obtain and review/analyze tax information and submit for payment semiannually .

EDUCATION

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Five years of commercial real estate management and/or accounting experience required . Five years of commercial real estate experience performing comparable duties preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize comprehensive and shifting workloads.
  • Strong phone skills and ability to operate office equipment.
  • Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook; able to demonstrate general computer software proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with highly sensitive information.
  • Accuracy in grammar, spelling, and editing skills.
  • Good knowledge of legal/regulatory environment in healthcare as it relates to real estate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, personal initiative and desire to learn.
  • Strong written communication skills to compose or edit letters, memos, minutes, reports, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills to enact problem solving upon own initiative or limited supervision.
  • Good knowledge of real estate leasing and terminology.
  • Ability to learn and navigate proprietary programs for work orders, receivable aging, lease information and financial statements.
