Junior Graphic Designer Jobs

SOS is a Seed Stage company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts that designs and operates a network of smart vending machines for wellness products. Today, the company has ~100 machines across 14 locations in New York, Massachusetts, and Florida. SOS is preparing for a significant national expansion of its machine network in the next 5-6 months.

We’re in search of a motivated, talented and positive designer who will proudly and accurately convey the SOS brand to the public. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, innovative, design-first, female-founded tech startup.

The position is based out of our Charlestown, MA location with the option to work remotely.

The majority of this position is design-driven, with a minority focused on general marketing and administrative responsibilities. You will work primarily with our Marketing Director and Co-founder.

• Marketing materials for sales presentations, events/tradeshows, brand communications, location education, and more
• SOS machine screens across all locations
• Research award opportunities; develop submissions and submit on behalf of the company
• Maintain a conferences/events calendar for team to attend and/or speak at
• General Marketing and Administrative
• Manage the process of keeping screens updated on a monthly basis
• Design, create and manage: public-facing printed and digital materials, including (but not limited to):
• Research and vet events, develop speaking submissions, submit and coordinate
• Maintain an organized, current and user-friendly digital assets library, including photos, videos and finalized sales materials
• Email newsletter
• Content for Social Media
• Assist with product photography
• The ability to design unique, but to-the-point, on-brand ideas monthly for fresh screen content.
• Website maintenance with new photography, press, locations, brands
• Machine Screen Design

Desired Qualifications & Abilities:

• Video editing and web design (squarespace) a plus.
• Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and photography.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, New Media, or other comparable educational disciplines.
• 2-4 years of experience and success working in graphic design and marketing
• Knowledge and experience with:
• Online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
• Creating content and designing for Instagram.

• Collaborative – Comfortable working with and taking direction from multiple team members across a global, largely remote team
• A quick, but meticulous designer who can get the job done within deadlines
• Genuinely excitement about being a critical part of the success of a unique, fast-paced, and impactful company
• Excellent with communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willing to go the extra mile and thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment.
