Job Description

Summary:

Under general supervision, the Junior Analyst – Corporate Financial Reporting plays an important role within Corporate Financial Reporting supporting our corporate finance team while simultaneously gaining company and industry knowledge. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities, monthly financial review & support, and recurring / ad-hoc analysis.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate any variances or unusual trends and follow up till resolution
  • Ability to extract and utilize data from various software applications, such as spreadsheets, databases, for external and internal financial reporting and/or analytical purposes
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
  • Prepare stand-alone property financial statements for regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Record monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Assist external and internal auditors with inquiries on the accounts and processes when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations of designated GL accounts
  • Create monthly and ad-hoc reporting to support operational and financial needs
  • Provide assistance, support, and guidance to Operations and Accounting / Finance department, as necessary
  • Perform equity-related accounting and administrative matters.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
  • Coordinate, compile and analyze financial statements and footnotes for inclusion in Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs and quarterly earnings releases.
  • Analyze and review balance sheet and income statement accounts for operating and finance leases and other GL accounts, as applicable, to assure accuracy and completeness in the GL

Qualifications

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Strong level skills in Microsoft Excel – (ex. Pivot tables, macros, data tables, simulations & solver, Vlookup, Hlookup)
  • Ability to work independently and cross functionally at all levels
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and projects
  • In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant experience in a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess the impact of operations on financial results
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Verify right to work in the United States
  • Strong organizational, research and analytical skills. Able to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
