Junior Developer Jobs

The Junior Developer works as part of a small team of developers and works to create and maintain software for MIS's insurance clients using the Microsoft suite of technologies.
This role is based at the MIS office in Maitland, FL with the option for hybrid remote work arrangements after training period.
Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code with guidance from senior developers
• Troubleshoot software bugs
• Attend and contribute to Development team meetings
• Test development changes and provide feedback
• Ability to learn the Insurance industry
• Assist senior developers with all aspects of the development life cycle
• Keep track and organize tickets using a ticketing system

Qualifications

• Ability to multi task and wear many hats
• SQL
• Basic knowledge of programming
• VB.net
• HTML
• C#
• Accounting and/or insurance knowledge a plus
• Javascript
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with the following technologies
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• CSS
• Must have attention to detail
• XML
• Object Oriented methodologies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Drive to learn new concepts quickly
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Ability to work individually and also as a part of a team
