Job Description
The Junior Art Curator works closely with design professionals and others to infuse engaging, interesting, and economically minded art into the built environments in which the company operates. Typical activities and tasks include the physical assembly of art objects, art installation, procurement, and inventory management.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Familiar with artwork inventory and making selections based on plan design
  • Responsible for assisting in communication between departments regarding artwork
  • Process invoices and work orders for projects
  • Manage the on-site inventory of artwork including but not limited to: organization, cataloging, photographing, labeling, distribution and coordination of deliveries and installations
  • Create and assemble artwork under the direction of the Senior Designer and other team members (glue, cut, mount, frame, etc.)
  • Periodically purchase supplies and materials to fabricate artwork
  • Assist with creating art elevations
  • Interact with vendors to coordinate deliveries and/orinstalls.
Experience, Knowledge And Education
  • Highly self-motivated and action-oriented, able to execute efficiently.
  • Basic computer and measuring skills
  • Demonstrated passion for working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • College graduate or current student preferred
  • Some knowledge of CAD
  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent organization, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Easily adapts and embraces new technologies introduced and used within the organization.
  • Design/Architecture background recommended.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently,with excellent attention todetail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within processes and systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Receive and stock inventory.
  • Assemble art pieces/installations (glue, cut, mount, frame, etc.)
  • Place sculptures or other three-dimensional artwork
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, reach, and measure.
  • Place and hang framed art.
Additional Requirements
  • Successfully pass pre-employment screening.
