Jr. Linux Administrator Jobs

Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Linux Administrator. The candidate would be an integral part of the design, implementation, security, and support, of the development, test and production IT infrastructure, that is the backbone of our systems. In this role you will design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, modify, deploy and document application, system, and IT infrastructure, with an overall objective to improve the scalability, reliability, performance, and availability.
Skills

• Experience with object oriented Python development and scripting
• Understanding of IT best practices and operations for highly available services and infrastructure
• Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) and troubleshooting network related issues
• 4+ years of experience in a Linux Administrator position.
• Proven track record of installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based systems, in on-premise and cloud based environments
• Experience working with Docker Containers and Kubernetes Clusters
• BS degree in Computer Science or similar field.

Desired

• Experience with automation and configuration management
• AWS and or GCP Certification
• Experience with Juniper Networks hardware
• Experience with information security
• Familiarity with systems administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
