Summary of the Job:

FNBO is seeking a Jr. Java Developer to join our Operational Data Store team to write Core and Process APIs and microservices in support of our technology transformation. The ideal candidate has enough experience to hit the ground running and a desire to learn and grow their skillset. You work well as part of a dynamic agile team, can work independently, and have a strong desire to deliver outcomes. You are humble enough to know when to ask for help but driven enough to tackle coding challenges head on. Whether at the beginning of your career or an experienced professional you recognize that there is always more to learn and actively pursue new skills.
About This Role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
  • Modify existing programs, prepare test data, participate in story refinement and grooming
  • Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team to meet development schedules
  • Write object-oriented, clean, and maintainable code
  • Use Java and Spring framework to develop clean and effective APIs and microservices alongside front end technologies including salesforce and react.
  • Develop RESTful services and APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture Design and RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices
  • Proficient with Java and working knowledge of Spring Boot.
  • You are looking for career advancement opportunities
  • Experience working within an Agile Development Methodology
  • Experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Experienced enough to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.
