Job Title: Java Developer (Multiple Positions)

Location: Downtown Pittsburgh, PA (On-site 3 days/week)

Position Summary:

We are actively seeking three Java Developers, each with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Java development, Spring or Spring Boot framework, RESTful web services, Oracle DB or other relational databases, and a robust understanding of microservice architecture. The ideal candidates are self-starters who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and are passionate about creating high-performance, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of microservice architecture, contributing to improved system performance and flexibility.
• Develop and maintain well-architected RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration between various systems and components.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow developers, to deliver exceptional software solutions.
• Effectively troubleshoot, debug, and promptly resolve software defects and issues.
• Actively participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback, and adhering to best practices to ensure elevated code quality and maintainability.
• Utilize your expertise in Oracle DB or other relational databases to design and optimize database schema, queries, and data access layers.
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, efficient, and scalable Java based applications and microservices using Spring or Spring Boot framework.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance your skills and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adeptly troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in downtown Pittsburgh 3 days per week.
• Proficiency in working with Oracle DB or other relational databases.
• Strong proficiency in the Spring or Spring Boot framework for building enterprise-grade applications.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of RESTful web services.
• Solid grasp of microservice architecture principles and best practices.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries such as Angular, React, or VueJS.
• Experience with prominent big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hbase, Spark, and Hive.
