Java Engineer (Hybrid Work Week)

Long term contract opportunity 1 year with possible 4 year extension

Hybrid Work Week

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Document the legacy system code and approach used with flow diagrams
• Provide accurate estimates for Jira tasks using the Scrum development process.
• Design and document the approach for major use cases before coding.
• Articulate and find ways to add unit tests/integrated tests to legacy systems using Junit and Mockito to debug issues.
• Understanding and capability to code in event driven, microservices, and SOA architectures.

Requirements Basic Requirements

• Reverse Engineering and Refactoring code,
• Weekly project report of progress and status,
• Maintaining and developing web applications front ends using react, JSF/PrimeFaces, and
• Four (4) or more years hands on experience migrating from one framework to another.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management
• Ability to evaluate quickly, learn and prototype new technologies.
• Preparing regular and ad hoc reports, including:
• JSF (Primefaces)
• Oracle 12C and higher
• Developing scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST service APIs and implementations.
• JMeter,
• JavaScript
• XML and HTML.
• Designing and developing code, unit testing code, and providing support during test cycle and post-production.
• Court case management experience.
• Three (3) or more years with Microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of scalability options and best practices..
• Additional reports as requested.
• Hands on coding experience including:
• Hibernate (JPA, Validator)
• Java 8 and above,
• J2EE (EJB and JSP),
• Provide development services for the mandated support and enhancements of multiple interfaces and applications.
• Weekly time report, and
• Two (2) or more years with event driven architecture.
• PERL
• Distributed event streaming platforms,
• Web Services,
• Ability to think critically and problem solve.
• SLF4J
• Support and enhancement will include migrating legacy monolithic applications into more modern technologies.
• Four (4) or more years with legacy monolithic architectures.
• Junit Framework,
• Spring (Framework, Data JPA, Security, Scheduler),
