Overview

The role involves the design and development of Cross Product Valuation platform in Enterprise Risk Technology. It will be a hands-on development role using Java 8, Hazel cast distributed cache, and multi-threading/low-latency paradigms along with J2ee technologies like Spring, Rest Application Programming Interface (APIs) and messaging APIs involving Solace, Kafka. You will be responsible for working collaboratively in a cross functional SAFe Agile Scrum feature team to deliver solutions for business partners in the Market Risk domain. This is a great opportunity to be part of a cross functional agile feature team and also to expand one’s knowledge base on Investment banking, while ensuring the delivery of each feature is of a top-notch quality, performance and is easily maintainable.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain a large mission-critical Information Technology (IT) system which runs on 20,000+ CPU cores
  • Analyze business requirements/functional specifications
  • Plan and deliver solution in 2-week sprints and 5 sprints in a SAFe Program Increment
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities (with a constant focus on delivery)
  • Collaborate with users and technical teams in London and Moscow and actively participate in Design review sessions and Code reviews
  • Balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility

Skills You’ll Need

  • Knowledge of architectural design patterns, highly optimized, Low latency, and Massively Scalable Platforms
  • Familiarity with Big Data (developing enterprise level applications using Hadoop, Big Data & NoSQL solutions)
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQLs), Oracle Databases, build and deployment (using Maven), Teamcity, HTML, AngularJS and jBehave, Cucumber frameworks
  • Knowledge of messaging technologies platforms like Solace and Kafka, and languages (Python, Scala) would be a plus
  • Experience with software development, using Java (and related technologies), server-side Java Developer (including multi-threading), and developing applications using Spring and RESTful services

  • Quantitative, analytical, confident, articulate, enthusiastic and able to operate independently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in a distributed, multi-technology ecosystem
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills to wide ranging audiences from global fellow developers to business stakeholders
  • Experience working in massive programs in a geographically distributed environment
