Job Description
Java Developer
REMOTE ROLE!!!

*candidate will need to pick up laptop ONSITE in Richmond, VA

Develop and incorporate business processes to enhance the current applications and production support. Work with multiple technical groups and business customers. Review, integrate and improve the system and processes based on security and DevOps.

  • Write and modify application code including release cycle.
  • Work and meet with business customers for deliverables, requirement analysis, solution walkthrough with timely communications.
  • Collaborate development activities with internal and external groups.
  • Design and develop application modules including production support.
  • Review log files and identify cause of the issues and provide resolutions.

Experience and skills:
  • 6+ years working experience with JAVA/JEE, JAVA design patterns and its related technologies for web based development.
  • 3+ Years - Web Service development, XML file handling
  • 2+ Years – Scheduling of automated scripts and creating cross system interfaces
  • Knowledge and experience with Weblogic or any other application server, JDeveloper or related IDE, UNIX Shell Scripting and UML are strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years experience with large scale application development and support using Java and Oracle based technologies.
  • 6+ years experience and integration using Struts, Spring, ORM tool like Hibernate, JPA and Web Services is required.
  • Candidate should be an excellent team player and independently able to research, analyze and provide resolution for production support.
  • Candidate should be able to translate functional requirement and ER diagrams/data model into technical design and application code.
  • Knowledge and experience of creating common framework and classes are strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years experience creating technical design like class diagram and sequence diagram is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years working experience with SQL, PL/SQL with Oracle backend is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with DevOps and tools related to DevOps like Git
