Grow your career as a Java Developer with an innovative global bank working in Rutherford, NJ. 12-month contract opportunity with a strong chance to extend. Will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week. Will be responsible for delivering solutions that support client’s credit risk through the implementation of stress jump-to-default loss, price loss and lifetime expected loss models that cover various product and are driven by forward-looking macroeconomic scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Design & develop scalable micro-services and/or batch processes that will support credit risk management functions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building applications leveraging Java building scalable backend services and/or batch processes.
• Experience using Java Spring batch framework.
• Experience in messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Prefer with financial services/Credit Risk experience.
• Experience using SQL\NoSQL DB technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, Mongo DB, etc.) and in memory caching and searching technologies.
• Experience deploying fault-tolerant distributed systems on Linux in a cloud environment and familiar with cloud computing concepts and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Prefer with hands on experience in Python.
