Java Developer- Backend Jobs

What we need

Datassential is looking for a Java Developer well versed in Java, REST, OOP concepts and has experience working in AWS.

What you bring

• Well versed in Java (Spring), REST, OOP concepts, design patterns and SOLID principles
• You understand the importance of testing and that testing and coding complement each other.
• You believe that good code metrics are not just goals but are requirements.
• 4+ years of hands on work experience
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins JTE
• Experience using at least one major RDBMS: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL
• Exposure to AWS and AWS managed services (EC2, ECS, s3, Lambda, SQS)
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Exposure to applications developed within a microservices architecture.
• Have strong Git-fu

Nice to haves

• Exposure to scripting languages like Bash and Python.
• Exposure to React
• Exposure to different ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Keboola, Airflow, Pentaho etc.
• Understand IaC and how Terraform helps to support codifying and managing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Linux
