Job Title: IT Systems Engineer/Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Type: Permanent Role
Visa: US Citizen or Green Card (Cannot work with C2C, sponsorships, or student visas)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, AZURE)
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or University or ten (10) or more years’ experience in infrastructure; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry certifications may be considered in place of a College degree. Certifications could be: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, RHCE, CCNA.
- Solid understanding of enterprise client/server relationships, SAN environments, VM environments, networking (TCP/IP), and Internet technologies.
- Understanding of Ansible Tower
- Deep knowledge of the following computer operating systems. Windows 7, Windows Server ’08, Windows Server ’12, Windows Server ’16, with Linux variants, including Cent OS, Red Hat, and Ubuntu.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft based solutions including; Microsoft(s) Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows File and Print Services, DNS / DHCP, SQL, IIS, PowerShell, and System Center Configuration Manager.
- Experience following Change Management procedures
Summary:
The IT Systems Engineer provides advanced engineering, problem identification and resolution support services as well as performance monitoring and capacity planning support. Diagnoses system problems and guide others on a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad application and functional expertise. Key contributor with technical evaluations and “proof of concept” programs as it relates to evaluating and implementing new technologies and tools. Perform server hardware/software installation and maintenance tasks. Install and maintain infrastructure management tools. Play a principal role in the development and implementation of departmental workflow automation processes and procedures. A point of contact for internal and external customers, providing technical guidance and support for infrastructure service offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Documents, tracks, and monitors tasks to ensure accuracy.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, upgrades and patches to systems.
- Maintain SAN technologies
- Understand how supported applications interact with the underlying technologies including Windows Server, Oracle DB Server, Active Directory, System Center Configuration Manager, VDI, network technologies, third party applications and Virtualization technologies.
- Ability to design and document complex workflows
- Maintain backup and recovery operations
- Assists with specific projects, as required.
- May be required to work after hours and weekends to accomplish work tasks.
- Documents procedures and guidelines.
- Required to stay abreast of technology needs and regulations of all systems used by PCC.
