Job Description

Job Title: IT Security Analyst
Job Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: Saint Louis, MO

Required: Only GC, USC, L2 EAD, H4 EAD, and TN

We are recruiting for an IT Security Analyst position based in St. Louis, Missouri. The role of the IT Security Analyst is to contribute to the organization's Information Security and IT Risk Management needs by improving and supporting controls related to Information Security. The ideal candidate should have a customer-centric approach and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Deploying, integrating, and configuring security solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness and appropriateness of existing security solutions.
  • Recommending additional security solutions or enhancements to existing systems to improve overall enterprise security.
  • Maintaining enterprise security documentation, including standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Participating in vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Staying updated on developments in the IT security industry, including new security solutions, improved processes, and emerging threats.
  • Providing on-call support for IT peers and end users regarding security solutions.
  • Reviewing security logs and reports, interpreting their implications, and developing appropriate resolution plans.
  • Led regulatory examinations and conducting internal and external IT security audits as required.
  • Undertaking additional duties as assigned by IT management, which may include network, system, and end-user support.
  • Ensuring secure configuration and operations of all devices, including security tools, workstations, servers, and network devices.
  • Contributing to the planning and design of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Assisting in the planning and design of a robust enterprise security architecture.
  • Maintaining operational configurations of security solutions based on established baselines.
  • Participating in investigations related to problematic IT security activities.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, CRISC, Security+, CEH, and SANS certifications in information security.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulatory audits such as HIPAA, SSAE16 SOC, Sarbanes Oxley, and PCI is desirable.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT field, with at least two years of relevant IT security work experience.
  • Experience with Qualys vulnerability management deployment and Cisco networking and security solutions is preferred.
  • The work conditions for this role involve general office settings, which may require extended periods of sitting. Infrequent overnight travel may also be necessary.   • Information technology certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, or VMware are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, vulnerability management scanning tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, and occasional overnight travel availability (approximately 5%) may be required.
