IT ADMINISTRATOR

(US-based; remote; full-time)

The Language Doctors, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to manage our company's computer infrastructure and supervise our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for upgrading and installing hardware and software, maintaining our networks and servers, and troubleshooting IT issues. They will have expertise in NIST 800-171 compliance, PHI/PII security, and Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS), and will implement security procedures, protocols, and audits.

📑Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, managing a team of IT professionals.

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures that comply with NIST 800-171 and protect sensitive PHI/PII data.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant security standards and regulations.

• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.

• Provide technical guidance and support to staff and end-users, as needed.

• Manage Amazon WorkSpaces and other remote access tools, ensuring that remote workers can access company systems securely.

• Identify and address IT-related needs and issues by collaborating with other departments.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software, and hardware to improve overall IT infrastructure and operations.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, ensuring that all staff members are aligned with company goals and objectives.

📑Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information security, or a related field.

• 2+ years of proven work experience as an IT Administrator or similar role.

• Extensive knowledge of Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS) and other cloud computing platforms.

• Ability to install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures with a focus on NIST 800-171 compliance and PHI/PII security.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
