Fundamental Job Duties

  • Performing hydraulic/telescopic boom assembly and disassembly
  • Performing weld identification
  • Performing cutting torch operations
  • Perform clean up duties
  • Using and caring for shop power tools
  • Performing simple layout
  • Performing complex heavy rigging over 10 tons
  • Basic safety
  • Oxyfuel cutting
  • Performing and erection and connection of structural steel
  • Perform job related math
  • Basic rigging
  • Installing stairs, railings, grating and decking
  • Performing light rigging under 10 tons
  • Using and caring for portable power tools
  • Performing erection of miscellaneous steel
  • Setting up crane
  • Performing advanced layout and fabrication
  • Erecting and inspecting scaffolding
  • Basic math
  • Performing weld preparation
  • Perform permanent handrail fabrication and installation
  • Performing welding operations
  • Performing erection of steel joists and joist girders
  • Using crane hand signals
  • Proper identification, use and care of power tools
  • Basic blueprints
  • Plumbing structures and components
  • Proper identification, use and care of hand tools
  • Performing rigging hand signals
  • Using and caring for craft related hand tools
