What You Will Do

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications.
• Use of tools to adjust and fasten steel beams.
• Able to manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment.
• Able to effectively communicate with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator).
• Attach and detach loads effectively.
• Practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation.
• Must be familiar with the standard crane hand signals. Must be able to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely.
• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment
• Able to effectively communicate with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator)
• Must be familiar with the standard crane hand signals. Must be able to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely

What Will Put You Ahead

• Communicate in English
• Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment

• NCCER Ironworker certification
• 3+ years previous experience as an ironworker
