Your role

Do you have a strong background or interest in real estate investments? Are you able to critically analyze investment proposals and ideas?

We're looking for an Investment Analyst to:

• Support senior team members with real estate analysis, portfolio management attribution, performance calculations, risk management, and investment monitoring
• Underwriting support would entail supporting senior investment professionals
• Create new model portfolios and presentations for new business initiatives
• Track and review performance of certain mandates and the underlying investments in the Americas regions
• Assemble data and maintain databases of funds, properties, and economic data for use in analysis and presentations.
• Support underwriting and executing investment opportunities in the Americas
• Closely monitor and provide reports summarizing the performance of investments and managers to ensure they are on track to achieve their targeted business plans and risk/return objectives.
• Coordinate the execution investment opportunities with internal/external legal and/or tax advisors

Your team

We are a global team, focused on global real estate investing and, therefore, we have a significant appetite for Americas real estate. In order to support our continued growth, we are looking for a Chicago-based Investment Analyst. The role will be primarily focused on analyzing and executing investment opportunities as well as, active (risk) management and monitoring of closed and ongoing investments. Other responsibilities include portfolio management and reporting, (client-facing) business development, and supporting the team's strategic initiatives.

Your expertise

• A general understanding of the property markets and broader investment markets
• Analytical and communication skills. The ability to critically analyze ideas and proposals
• 0-2 years' work experience in the real estate industry (with a particular focus in the US markets). For new graduates, a finance degree and/or real estate focus is preferred.
• Motivation and flexibility in your approach to new ideas and projects
• Financial modelling skills are preferred, but not required
• A strong understanding of financial, economic, and accounting theory and practice
