Course: Introduction to Counseling Theories
This course provides foundational knowledge in theoretical approaches to counseling. Theoretical models studied include psychodynamic, existential, Gestalt, person-centered, cognitive and behavioral therapy, family systems, and narrative- and solution-focused therapies.
What You Will Do:

• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions

What You Will Bring:

• Marriage and Family Therapy
• Substance Abuse Counseling OR
• AND 2 years of clinical experience in addictions
• Marriage and Family Therapy
• Addiction Counseling OR
• AND Independent/Dependent License in Counseling OR
• Clinical Psychology OR
• Master’s (or higher) in Professional Counseling OR
• Mental Health Counseling OR
