The Role
US International Trade Compliance Attorney is to ensure that Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions' (SMF) business units are following the trade compliance laws and regulations stipulated by the US government and its agencies domestically as well as in its extraterritorial reach for re-export regulations purposes. The US International Trade Compliance Attorney will ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal trade controls and support the business in classification and evaluation of products according to US regulations.
The US International Trade Compliance Attorney will be part of the global SMF compliance and legal function support in creating awareness, effectiveness, and quality within US Trade Compliance by maintaining directives, policies, and processes in the area of responsibility.

  • Experience in US and global trade controls, including the export controls programs required by BIS, OFAC, and other US agencies.
  • A licensed attorney possessing a minimum of 5-10 years professional experience working with international trade law within the software industry.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience from work in a global environment with stakeholder management is a merit.
Salary $145k - $215k, dependent upon level of experience. Annual bonus opportunity applies.
