Internal Corporate Communication Specialist

Pay: $40 - $42/ hourly as W2, full benefits offered.

Location: Role is fully remote - EST or CST hours required

Length of contract: Budget approved for 12 months, likely extension past that point as the team is expanding and growing.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 to $42 / hourly as a W2 employee.

Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in a 401k plan with company match.


Internal Corporate Communication Specialist

This is a great role for someone with 3-6 years or experience looking to partner with an expanding Communications/Change Management team.


Key requirements include:

  • Some examples of the work include content for websites, for town hall meetings, writing emails, communications for staff meetings, basically any formal internal employee communications that may be needed.
  • This role is an execution based role, a doing role. This need is for crafting communications and getting it out to team members.
  • Other examples could be there may be a new system being implemented and you will craft communications that explain this. You will explain to others how their role may change, here are the ways it will change, notifying team members about updates, the steps involved and what to expect.

There are multiple Change Initiatives going on within the department all with different schedules and timelines.

This Communications Specialist will work with other Program/Project Managers to understand what's being updated or changed, then will write the formal communications updates and ensure they are delivered.

The deliverables are primarily internal employee communications


In this role you will create content and make this understandable, and digestible for others, you will place that content on the right channels, using the right mediums.

  • This includes updating of SharePoint sites, maintaining and updating content here is key
  • There will be some coordinating of training needed, partnering with the training department and some vendors that offer training and coordinating that information
  • All of the work needed is Internal communications focused



Role Summary/Purpose:

Our Client is continuing to build a world class Performance Marketing Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences.

The Change Management Communications Specialist will join our new change management portfolio team to support our objectives and outcomes.


This specialist position brings change management knowledge and experience in crafting a change communications roadmap and execution tactics for our internal organization. Primary focus is to deliver targeted messaging and experiences supporting change initiatives and enabling business readiness and change adoption. The position is remote, where you have the option to work from home.




Essential Responsibilities (Roles and Responsibilities):

  • Act as filter to ensure content adheres to brand voice and tone, editorial requirements and ensure all work is correct.
  • Engage with platform product owners, process owners and stakeholders to understand changing communication needs and integrate into rolling quarterly communication roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, in-house creative agency as well as internal branding & communication team, and vendors to facilitate change communication needs and content delivery & scheduling.
  • Write and deliver tactical communication messaging and content across a variety of internal communication forums, practices, and media.
  • Deliver on agile change management communications approaches and tactics supporting and accelerating change objectives.
  • Design and conduct impact assessments, identifying risks to delivery/adoption, crafting responsive and adaptive communication actions to support mitigation activities.
  • Assist with creation of training materials and coordinate training experiences for effective change management implementation.
  • Manage stakeholder change communication expectations while working across multiple work streams.

  • Flexible, and capable of dealing with ambiguity, change, adversity and real-time adjustments to projects and plans – under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively and partner with diverse groups, including management, communications, and marketing teams, and build strong cross-group collaboration
  • Ability to comprehend change/technology topics and use strong communication skills to translate details into understandable, yet creative content
  • Experienced communications practitioner with solid experience and a proven track record creating and executing impactful, internally facing communications projects in a large organization, preferably in the financial services or technology sector


Basic Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience with communication tools, practices, and platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field or finance/technology, and/or 5+ years of experience in one of the following areas: communications, marketing, program/project management.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to present to management
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of business software required (primarily TEAMS, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point, and Visio).


Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and Credit Card/Consumer Finance products
  • Highly motivated, assertive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as a strong team participant
  • Business certifications i.e., Agile certifications, lean Six Sigma certifications
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, processes, and mindset
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Kanban
  • Experience with coordinating across workstreams and delivery areas.
