Intern - Software Engineer / Quality Systems

The 3D Systems Littleton site is leading a revolution in healthcare. 3D Systems Littleton partners with surgeons, healthcare professionals, medical device manufacturers, and medical teaching staff to offer a range of precision healthcare solutions, including virtual reality simulators, 3D printed anatomical models, virtual surgical planning, patient-specific surgical guides, instrumentation, and implants.
Software Engineering - Quality Systems Intern responsibilities include:

• Test and validate software scripts and processes.
• Troubleshoot issues with software functionality and configuration.
• Support the setup of Application Programming Interfaces (API) between multiple systems.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python-based)
• Work with IT Support Team to resolve issues.
• Configure back-end and front-end user interface for the eQMS.
• Support the configuration of an electronic Quality Management System (eQMS)
• Define system and user requirements for software systems.
• Ability to self-teach new software and electronic systems.

• Project definition will be discussed at time of engagement
• Summer Project - The primary responsibility for the candidate is to complete their assigned project and presentation by the end of the 10-week internship.
• The intern is responsible for generating a presentation to communicate the results of their project to the 3D Systems management team.
• The intern is responsible for completing learning objectives throughout the internship and incorporating this knowledge into their final presentation
• The intern is responsible for meeting all project milestones defined by the project sponsor.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Our preference is for current students who are rising seniors in an undergraduate program or final year students in a graduate program from an accredited top tier school and program.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal
• We are looking for students from various Engineering disciplines including but not limited to: Mechanical, Software, Biomedical, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
• Strong background in software and electronic systems
• Have an outstanding record in his/her discipline with regards to creativity, productivity and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with quality, testing, instrumentation, controls, design, materials, CAD, etc is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interpret ideas shared in a cross-functional environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Salary Range: $16 - $20/Hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
