Intern - Media Relations

The Intern – Media Relations will have the opportunity to work as a member of the Communications, Media, and PR functions of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. This position will be directly involved in baseball communications, supporting logistics and day to day communications across the Club. Additional responsibilities will include print, publications and other duties as assigned. This is a year-long paid internship from July through December with the possibility of extension, averaging 40 hours/week and is eligible for medical benefits.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with the production/distribution of media credentials
• Assist with press conferences
• Assist with the management of the press box and broadcast booths, meeting the needs of credentialed media members and broadcasters
• Prepare and proofread content for the media guide, team yearbook and Spring Training program
• Perform general office duties and work on research projects as assigned by media relations staff
• Compile and distribute daily news clips, stat packs, game notes, post-game notes, Minor League report, press releases, etc. to media

Must be recently graduated from an accredited college or university, having pursued a degree or course work related to the functions of the position. Examples include: Broadcasting, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Sport Management, etc. Previous experience working in professional sports or college environment in a media relations or sports information role is preferred.
