The Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring that up to 20 clients going through the second phase of Miller Marriott’s design and construction process are pleased with their design experience while adhering to our internal Miller Marriot design standards and processes.If you are successful in this role and as the company continues to grow, this position has the potential for advancement to become the manager of the Interior Design Department at Miller Marriott.
What You Will Need to Succeed
·Technical / Knowledge
oAbility to use 3D modeling software at an intermediate level or above (Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD)
oSkilled at reading architectural plans and construction documents
oSkilled in spatial visualization
oWorking knowledge of products and materials used in residential design and their level of quality and relative reprice point
oAbility to understand the design process, follow Miller Marriott processes, and execute proper deliverables
·Communication
oSkilled in listening, understanding, and communicating using multiple streams of information
oBe self-sufficient and a self-starter in moving clients at an appropriate speed through the design process and ability to meet deadlines for client and internal deliverables
oProactive in seeking feedback when needed (both internally and externally), and ability to appropriately prioritize material details to produce the appropriate documents within a fluid design process
oSkilled in effective and efficient organization and documentation of projects, clients, time, and project changes
Education and Training
·Three years of experience in interior design is required (residential interior design is preferred)
·Two-year degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required (four-year degree preferred)
Compensation
·Salary: $45,000-$65,000
