Posting Summary

Provide health & wellness coaching services to undergraduate and graduate students on both an individual and group basis. Coordinates health and wellness coach presence in Learning Community settings. Participates in preceptor oversight for students studying Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching at UVM. Provide education and consultation with students, faculty, and staff around health-related issues and the value of health coaching. Promote and support the philosophy, policies, and procedures for comprehensive university health services that incorporate multicultural diversity, inclusivity, and social justice concepts and principles to support student wellbeing. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the Center for Health and Wellbeing, Division of Student Affairs, and the University of Vermont. Provide respectful and confidential services for all students, valuing differences in race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, ability, veteran status, socioeconomic status, and age.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree or higher; Preferred education in nursing, health promotion, health education, athletic training, nutrition or other health related field or counseling. 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a higher education environment. Certified as a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Experience working with college age issues, preferably within a university setting, or equivalent. Demonstrated a commitment to diversity, social justice education and training, and who foster a collaborative multicultural environment.
