The County of Riverside's Department of Public Social Services - Children's Services Division is seeking multiple Intake Specialist Trainees for their Central Intake Center located in Moreno Valley, CA. This recruitment may be used to fill future Intake Specialist Trainee positions throughout Riverside County.

The selected candidates will be responsible for receiving and reporting on incidents of child abuse for Riverside County. In doing so, the Intake Specialist Trainees will dispatch heavy phone calls and frequently write incident reports. Additionally, the incumbents will perform other related duties as required.

Competitive candidates will have experience with Child Welfare Services/Case Management System (CWS/CMS), risk assessment, experience working in a call center environment, and possess strong customer service, time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Experience with virtual computer applications such as WebEx, Cisco, Jabber and/or Zoom are highly desired. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

Shifts for these positions may include weekend and/or evening hours.

Incumbents in this trainee class are expected to promote after obtaining the necessary experience with satisfactory performance. Failure to promote after six months will result in failure of probation.
