Summary: Manage intake process for Women's Residential Services


Administrative


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manage Pre-Admission file
  • Maintain contact with referral sources / weekly telephone or on site communication
  • Maintain census, assign new clients a big sister, update bed list. Review client assignments with Director weekly.
  • Process EMS enrollments and discharges on the virtual Gateway
  • Attend weekly staff meeting
  • Discuss status of waiting list/ referrals and final approval with supervisor
  • Send out discharge information to the Department Of Public Health monthly
  • Prepare monthly statistical data on last day of every month. Forward data to Finance
  • Log referrals and maintain waiting list
  • Maintain client insurance information and update the ESM as needed


Clinical


  • Facilitate up to three groups per week
  • Initiate and complete admission screening and intake process
  • Complete the comprehensive assessment within 7 days of admission
  • Maintain computerized clinical record of clients history and progress
  • Obtain initial authorization for treatment and complete concurrent reviews for insurance authorizations


Programmatic


  • Provide weekend coverage
  • Provide emergency coverage, including sick time, vacation and holiday coverage
  • Participate in the program on-call rotation
  • Provide support to the Program Manager
  • Community Volunteer Liaison
  • Transport clients to meetings, appointments, social/recreational events when requested


Monday through Friday 9a-5p


Required Education/Experience


  • Must have a Mass Driver License
  • Individual and group counseling experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree Required


Required Skills/Knowledge


  • Ability to communicate with emergency services (i.e. Ambulance, fire and police).
  • Organized and efficient
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of staff team
  • Have the ability to recognize client body language and gestured cues.
  • Ability to maintain records accurately and thoroughly
  • Have the ability to hear and differentiate tone, modulations and escalation of voice, in order to identify and monitor escalated behaviors and to maintain a safe environment.
  • Capable of responding to crises.
