Insurance Billing Specialist Jobs

As a Mylo Insurance Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for invoicing agency bill premiums for our organization. Your involvement from start to finish allows you to work at the intersection of accounting and insurance billing. Working alongside our commercial and personal insurance division, your attention to detail and love of process will assist in building consistent practices inside our growing organization. You will ensure the integrity and accuracy of our billing accounts and identify opportunities to improve the overall process.

Responsibilities:

• Produce client AR and carrier AP aging reports distributed to internal Mylo service team members.
• Responsible for communicating with customers regarding accounts receivable and invoices due
• Manage documents related to surplus lines filings to third parties
• Communicate with carriers regarding cancellations
• Invoice all premiums as directed by the commercial and personal lines insurance divisions.
• Act as a liaison between Mylo employees and contract markets to research and resolve discrepancies
• Protect the confidentiality of all information
• Confirm correct coding in AMS360 to avoid production errors
• Reconcile all client payments received and applying to AMS360 clients
• Sent appropriate documents to account department for payments to carriers
• Collaborate with the Mylo Controller and Service Department managers

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in business or related field, accounting preferred; and/or equivalent education and experience
• Knowledge of basic account concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent organizational and time management to prioritize large workload and time sensitive deadlines
• Demonstrate professional, tactful problem solving, analytical, and negotiation skills with personal presence to interface with key decision makers
• Insurance industry experience preferred
• Firm, fluent grasp of the English language with excellent verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of life experience
• Strong attention to detail required
