Duties

  • Analyze enterprise storage requirements in a multi cloud environment to determine the best cloud solution.
  • Provide Active Directory management and development of group policy and objects that support and strengthen secure access to enterprise systems and applications.

This announcement is issued under the Direct Hire Authority to recruit for positions for which the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, has a critical hiring need.

Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
  • Providing coordination between subject matter technology experts, business stakeholders and customers to elicit requirements and develop successful solutions.
  • Experience with implementing major changes to group policies to safeguard and continuously implement improved securities.
  • Experience with proactive monitoring of Active Directory, understanding of the interdependencies throughout the IT environment.
  • Providing analysis of cloud storage efficiencies and recommending which cloud service provider can provide optimal performance based on sound comparisons.
  • Providing technical advice, guidance, and engineering solutions and recommendations to senior management regarding critical IT issues with agency-wide impact.
