About The Learning Center (TLC): The Learning Center at the Northeast Arc is a private integrated preschool program that offers ABA services and childcare in a naturalistic teaching environment. We will soon be opening an infant classroom and are seeking experienced and entry level candidates for our Infant/Toddler Instructor role. This position would be a unique role where the instructor would spend the bulk of their time each week running our infant classroom, and some time each week working 1:1 with toddlers and preschoolers in our other rooms. The Infant/Toddler Instructor's role is to lead one our classrooms in fostering developmental milestones and skills with children ages 3 months -36 months old.
Major Job Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of child development and plan developmentally appropriate activities for all children in their care; modifying activities to meet the needs of all children.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with children.
  • Develop a stimulating learning environment through careful organization of classroom space and through Early Ed. and ABA methodologies.
  • Facilitate all activities including but not limited to, feeding times, nap times, manipulatives, sensory activities, gross and fine/motor play, etc.
  • Implement behavioral strategies in the classroom as prescribed by the BCBAs (clinical supervisors).
Qualifications:
  • Experience with curriculum development preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience leading a classroom required.
  • Must maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with children that have varying abilities, and behaviors. Must be willing to work with a range of ages and move within different classrooms.
  • Must be EEC Qualified Infant/Toddler teacher and have experience working with children between ages 3 months-6 years.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Previous daycare or ABA experience preferred.
