We provide these solutions to a broad industry base of other manufacturers and service providers in Huntsville, AL and throughout the southeastern Unites States. The industries we support include aerospace & defense, medical, steel, nuclear, automotive, general manufacturing, and research & development. About this opening: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for but not limited to, assembly, setups, adjustments, maintenance and repair of equipment. These duties will primarily be done in a manufacturing environment. Duties: The primary duties are given below, but other duties may be assigned as circumstances dictate. Assemble / disassemble mechanical equipment and robot cells associated with custom automated robotic manufacturing solutions Install manufactured equipment, off-site Provide general maintenance to both manufactured and automated equipment Identify and report potential equipment problems Read and interpret basic technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints Apply basic math to mechanical assembly applications Assist with assembly of control panels and electrical systems, as needed Understand and apply requirements given with assignments Maintain a customer oriented mindset Follow Personal Protective Equipment requirements Maintain a safe and clean working environment for everyone Physical Requirements: Frequently walk, stand, stoop, push/pull, talk or hear, vision, depth perception, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, balance, far vision, lift over 50 lbs. Rarely crawl, climb, taste, smell and exposure to outdoors At ASG, we work as a team and routinely cross train employees to be able to backup and provide support to other team members when required. Qualifications: ASG team members must have a good work ethic, be teachable, and be a good team player. Having a solutions-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn and improve, and a willingness to ask questions and seek help when needed is important. Additionally, applicants for this position: Must have a High School Diploma Must have either an Associate's degree in Industrial System Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Manufacturing, or related field OR 1+ years on the job training / work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or fabrication environment Additional education, training, or certifications in closely related disciplines are a plus Must have a general knowledge of and ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments, gauges and inspection tools Must be proficient in reading and correctly interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics Any experience wiring control cabinets a plus Must have a general working knowledge of computers Must have strong attention to detail and ability to think critically to solve problems Must have capability to follow instructions precisely and take direction Must have intense focus on ensuring a safe working environment at all times - Reports unsafe conditions Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills Must be well organized, thorough, and detail oriented Must have good analytical skills to identify and resolve issues quickly and accurately Must be punctual and able to maintain a reliable work schedule Must be flexible and willing to work in a fast paced environment Must have the ability to work flexible schedule, and be willing to work overtime, if necessary Some overnight travel may be required Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Must be able to listen to, speak, read, write and understand English Must be a U.S. Citizen Amtec Solutions Group (ASG) is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer and maintains a Drug Free Workplace.
