Job Description
Midwest Heating & Cooling is a quickly growing company in SE Wisconsin that services, maintains, and installs HVAC equipment for both commercial and residential clients. Our company was founded by two partners that have been in the HVAC industry for over 15 years. We are seeking a Indoor Air Quality Technician to join our team!


Compensation: $15.00 to $25.00 per Hour, plus commissions - Based Upon Experience


Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday - Overtime (nights and weekends) required during high demand.

Primary Role: To perform maintenance and high-level service repairs on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems in accordance with the company's approved operating practices and with the highest level of customer care. Assist with the training and development of apprentice service technicians


Required Qualifications


  • Ability to retain and use knowledge & skills in the field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of service tools and testing devices.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of electrical and refrigeration principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership role, assisting with the development and training of apprentice service technicians.
  • Demonstrate working sheet metal abilities.
  • Possess all tools as required to perform daily duties.
  • Able to work from a 32' extension ladder and a 12' step ladder.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Commitment to developing & using customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Extensive understanding of residential heating & cooling system's parts, ductwork, components & functions; Ability to apply this knowledge in the field.
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures.


Job Responsibilities
  • Use of company vehicles, tools, equipment, parts, and materials are strictly for company jobs only.

  • Always adhere to the COD policy.
  • Follow directions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and complete in timely manner.
  • Report parts and materials needed to dispatcher to coordinate and expedite parts delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promptly report any problems with company vehicles or tools.
  • Clean air testing and communication to clients
  • Inform and educate customers of additional products, services, and replacement options in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Perform all duties and interact with clients per company's' standard operating practices.
  • Directly maneuver from one jobsite to another as dispatched through the day.
  • Set the standard/example of always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Report to jobsite locations on time as scheduled.
  • Communicate with the dispatcher when arriving and leaving the jobsite.
  • Complete all required paperwork, forms, and invoices.
  • Ability to perform the following with little to no supervision:
  • Daily truck maintenance checklist
  • Debrief with dispatcher upon completion of each job.
  • Successfully and knowledgeably use HVAC trade tools and testing devices.
  • Acquire new residential maintenance agreements as well as renew existing plans.
  • Assume a training/leadership role in the department to assist in the development of apprentice service technicians.
