GC Ungo Immigration Law is an immigration law firm seeking an Immigration Case Manager (Remote or in-person). As an immigrant founded law firm, our mission is to provide effective, ethical and compassionate representation with a holistic and proactive approach that helps clients navigate the complex immigration system, seamlessly and stress-free. Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Hours: Our current need is up to 20 hours per week, with an option for more hours needed in the future. We offer flexible hours and the ability to work in-person and remotely. This position also offers the opportunity for advancement to the position of Senior Case Manager/Paralegal. We are a quickly growing firm looking for a candidate who wishes to grow with us and be part of our long-term plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and implement GC Ungo case-specific case workflows including utilizing our practice software and other necessary technology platforms daily
  • Communicate with potential clients and clients via email and phone regarding their cases
  • Promptly alert attorney of any issues relating to a particular case so that they may be addresse ad work with attorney on Requests for Evidence
  • Keep track of files and expiration dates
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal databases in a timely and consistent manner
  • Assist attorney with office management tasks
  • Prepare and file cases for individuals and companies by reviewing intakes, collecting documents, preparing forms, drafting petition letters and compiling petitions / applications for filing

Required Skills:

  • Solid background in customer service
  • Strong word processing and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with utilizing technology in your work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a writing-intensive field
  • Thorough attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail including grammar and spelling

Bonus Qualifications: • Must enjoy writing! • Tech Savvy! While everyone says this, the ability to understand and self-learn software is critical to this position. We are heavy technology users. Technology is used to facilitate the remote nature of the position and provide value for clients. • Comfortable asking questions and discussing any pitfalls or mistakes you come across • Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines while providing a quality work product. • Upholds high standards of confidentiality • Friendly and a team player!
