Imaging Tech Assistant (Mri)

The Norwood office is looking for a hard working professional for the part time Imaging Tech Assistant (MRI) position. Must be available second shift. The Imaging Tech Assistant assists the MRI Technologist in the delivery and care to patients.

Essential Duties

• Maintain medical and imaging supplies, medications, linens, etc. to ensure appropriate supply; restock rooms and re-order as needed.
• Assist with the scheduling of patients to ensure timeliness of exam and compliance with contrast policies.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulations and practice policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient's condition to ensure patient's comfort and understanding of the scanning procedure. Assists with positioning of patients.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Assists in room and patient preparation and paperwork completion.
• Obtain complete patient history to ensure all safety requirements are met.
• Obtain lab work information to ensure appropriate creatinine levels for contrast studies.

Background And Experience

• Medical Assistant or relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to calmly handle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice management system is preferred.
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.
• One or more years of healthcare experience preferred.
