Job Description

OrthoNebraska is adding an experienced Imaging Manager to lead our Imaging Team. This role will provide leadership and support to the team while providing technical support for the effective and efficient operation of the imaging services. The imaging team uses state-of-the-art technology while providing health care in both the hospital and clinic setting. Services include X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, CT Scan, MRI and Ultrasound services.

Department/Position Details:

  • Meet or exceed patient care requirements by coordinating and directing the operations related to all services in the Imaging Department.
  • Comply with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all approved radiology technologist essential functions when providing direct patient care
  • Complete administrative tasks to assure compliance and growth of the department.
  • Employee is responsible for all other duties as assigned for which competency has been demonstrated.
  • Follow established guidelines to assure delivery that the patient care is consistent with private, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Demonstrate leadership on the job by continuously upgrading knowledge in areas of accountability and profession to maintain competence.
  • Monitor performance of department staff by data collection, coaching, education and role modeling at the direction of management to ensure ongoing performance improvement.
  • Problem-solve and make decisions within areas of accountability by using a well-defined approach to ensure effective and efficient patient care.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or similar imaging field.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Current radiography license in the state of Nebraska.

Experience:

  • Clinical skills must be demonstrated in MRI and X-Ray.
  • Other clinical skills are a positive.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with developing and monitoring Performance Improvement projects, managing a department budget and experience with PACS operations within a radiology department.
  • Ability to solve problems through a well-defined approach.
  • Minimal five years current clinical experience with progressive management experience.
  • Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities.
  • Ability to instruct and collaborate with others.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical:

  • This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
