Starting payrange: $19.50/hour -$20.50/hour

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Sample schedules, additional shifts as needed: 1) Tuesday 4 to 9:45pm. Friday 4 to 9:45pm. Saturday 1:15 to 9:45pm. Sunday 1:15 to 9:45pm. 2) Wednesday 4 to 9:45pm. Thursday 4 to 9:45pm. Saturday 1:15 to 9:45pm. Sunday 1:15 to 9:45pm.

OPPORTUNITY
The Ice Cream Scooper is responsible for creating an inspiring experience for our guests. They give outstanding service by meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations and providing excellent internal service to the team. Their responsibilities include assisting in the smooth and seamless operations of the business, reaching store goals, upholding product quality and consistency standards, controlling inventory levels and mitigating waste, maintaining equipment and facilities, and safely handling all of our products and equipment. They are part of a cohesive Bi-Rite team that supports the Bi-Rite Missions, 2024 Vision, and Community Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all cash handling, register functions and accurately and efficiently.
  • Restocks, cleans and organizes utensil and napkin station, dining area tables and chairs, outside benches and waste bins.
  • Puts away inventory in timely fashion, paying close attention to proper rotation, handling perishable items safely, and restocking high-volume products quickly.
  • Welcomes guests, provides expertise and assistance at the Bi-Rite Creamery.
  • Prepares all menu offerings to Bi-Rite standards. Keeps displays neat, clean, accurately labeled, and well-stocked.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous retail and food service experience recommended.
  • ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire. Bi-Rite provides on-site training and certification.
