Hvac Estimator Jobs

Busy mechanical construction company is looking for a motivated and positive individual for position of HVAC Estimator. The ideal candidate should have experience doing estimating in HVAC systems for Public Projects (SCA, DDC, NYCHA, etc...) and Commercial Projects from start to finish.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00 to $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
***Working Remotely*** will be considered for independent contractor

Responsibilities:
Review specs, drawings, and addendas
Perform Quantity Onscreen Mechanical and Sheet Metal Take-offs
Attend Pre-Bid Meeting / Walk-Through / Survey
Work with vendors and subcontractors for quotations / cost pricing update
Prepare project estimates and prepare proposals, bid documents
Prepare change order proposals and negotiation meetings
Ensure overall accuracy of the labor & material estimates
Update and Maintain company estimating software with labor productivity and unit cost
Qualifications:
Must have at least 3+ years experience with HVAC Mechanical Sheet Metal Estimating with project size $3M+
Experience with Public projects
Experience with Commercial projects (a plus)
Advanced in using estimating software, onscreen takeoff
Experience in using Trimble Autobid Mechanical & Sheet Metal (a PLUS)
Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
