HSSE Inspector

Responsibilities include:

  • Training the Make Ready Site Team in appropriate ways of recognizing unsafe work and intervening
  • Be highly visible in the worksite regularly engaging and coaching new individuals (in-field coaching on fall protection, DROPs prevention, barricading, etc.)
  • Participant in incident investigations related to safety
  • Interfacing/ coordinate with other Make Ready Site Team groups
  • Support contractor SSE management (ensure SSE's are working with mentors, crews are appropriate compliment per company policy / contract, etc.)
  • Working with the KOS and Gate safety representatives to achieve continuous improvement in safety practices, training and procedures
  • Being proactive and monitoring the use of safety equipment, personnel protection equipment and practices in the construction and Commissioning work areas
  • Monitoring Contractors (KOS, Gate, GIS, Ace, Stallion, etc.) and subcontractor's compliance with the HSSE Program
  • Fostering the Make Ready Site Induction, Safety briefings, Permit to Work meetings and Job Safety Analysis'
  • Performing HSSE audits
  • Collating and presenting HSSE statistics, Key Performance Indicators

Required skills:

  • Prior Deepwater construction experience is preferred
  • Knowledgeable of IOGP-577
  • Ability to be flexible on work schedule, i.e. days / nights / holidays
