We are seeking a Human Resources Director to join our team in Los Angeles.
- Communicating and coordinating HR programs such as performance review process, team member opinion surveys, and open enrollment with Operations leaders to ensure first-class experience for team members
- FAQ sheet to educate new hires about what makes their hotel unique
- Participate in the planning and promotion of associate engagement activities
- 90 day stay interviews
- Assist in instilling confidence and trust with leaders helping them grow as servant leaders and foster psychological safety with ongoing micro-learnings
- Assist with ensuring that internal communication is in alignment with company culture and guiding principles
- Coordinate with local businesses to offer perks and conveniences
- Serving as the first point of contact for routine associate inquiries
- Foster a work environment where associates are given the opportunity to contribute to their full potential with cross training and development
- Foster kindness and inclusion
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local ordinances as required
- Serve the team as a concierge function
- Meaningful Onboarding program and Orientation
- Providing learning and development opportunities
- Expert with EAP and other resources to assist with personal goals
- Performing general administrative tasks for the HR Office
- Ensuring positive coaching opportunities to motivate, recognize and correct unwanted behavior

- Work with leaders on interview and selection skills/processes
- Manage 3rd party recruitment agencies
- Foster “Brand” reputation in market
- Train and support leaders with recruiting and hiring tools and processes; including use of talent assessments

- Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
- Ability to diagnose organizational issues and implement creative solutions
- Strong computer skills including intermediate or above knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional manner
- Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information
- Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers and employees and influence the organization
- Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data to insight and then into action
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
- Multiple language abilities preferred. Fluency in English required and Spanish desired
- A minimum of five years experience within human resources, preferably 3+ years in a Director position or higher
- Ability to handle complex issues encountered using knowledge acquired through training and experience
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth and enthusiasm on the phone and in person
