Role: Housekeeping Team Member

Reports To: Supervisor of Housekeeping

FLSA: Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Role Status: On-site New Canaan, CT

Schedule: Monday 8:00am to 4:30 pm. Thursday through Sunday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Duties

• Empty garbage bins/cans on throughout the property.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Dust and polish furniture and/or equipment.
• Follow all company safety and security procedures.
• Looking for a team player who is willing to work effectively & respectfully with other staff members.
• Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and outdoor spaces.
• Following task lists and verbal directions for daily cleaning is important.
• Clean large glass window panels/walls, ceilings, doors, and woodwork.
• Disinfect office spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies.
• Vacuum, sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors
• Observe and report any damage(s) to Director of Facilities or Housekeeping Supervisor.

Skills/Abilities

• This position will work on site in New Canaan, CT. Work schedule may include special events which requires the willingness and ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Some experience in cleaning large panes of glass or has the interest to learn to do well.
• Ability to use brooms, mops, and/or power scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Proven dedication and an eye for cleanliness and detail.
• Positive attitude.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping experience maintaining office areas including kitchenette areas, restrooms, office space, lounge areas etc.
• High School diploma preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for an extended period of time.

Compensation range: $18 per hour, plus a competitive benefits package.
