Purpose of Position

Seeking an experienced housekeeper for the University House. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of common cleaning tasks and supplies. Applicants must be dependable, organized and excellent at taking direction. Schedule will be part-time depending on the events and needs of the President's House.

No current UND students will be considered for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Vacuuming carpets
• Scrubbing and sanitizing bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, all kitchen fixtures, and appliances
• Identifying and reporting any safety issues, maintenance issues, or defective equipment to the Building Services Technician Manager
• Informing homeowners of any accidents that may occur during the course of cleaning
• Replacing burned out light bulbs
• Dusting ceilings, light fixtures, picture frames, tables, and chairs
• Vacuuming and mopping all types of flooring
• Snow removal
• Cleaning and sweeping driveways and walkways before events
• Polishing silverwear
• Spot cleaning doors, frames and upholstery
• Collecting and removing trash and recyclables to an outside container
• Performing interior window cleaning
• Responding to homeowners' inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
• Disinfecting various equipment and supplies
• Meeting with homeowners to discuss expectations and preferences
• Communicating and maintaining a healthy relationship with homeowners in order to provide excellent service

Required Competencies

• Sound knowledge of cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques

• Ability to read, understand, and put product safety advice sheets and procedures to use

Minimum Requirements

• Previous house cleaning experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Worked in or has their own cleaning company
• Valid driver's license
• 1 year of experience setting up for events
