Housekeeper
REPORTS TO: EVS Manager
DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services
JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeper under the direction of the EVS Manager is responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with cleaning, sanitizing, and general maintenance of Western Missouri Medical Center buildings and facilities so as to maintain in an orderly and sanitary condition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Follow proper biohazard procedures and ensure compliance for the different governmental agencies
  • Ensure dirty linens are removed and stored in appropriate locations, replace as needed
  • Customer service with all levels of patients and hospital staff
  • Ensure trash removal of designated assigned areas and proper disposal
  • Use and maintain floor equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, facilities, office areas, off site clinics, and other areas designated by their supervisor
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and readily available at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.
