Overview

Responsibilities
Position Summary:
According to established procedures cleans and services building areas. Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat orderly and sanitary condition.

Core Duties:
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in maintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies relative to cleaning activities for par stocking purposes Moves furniture equipment and supplies in and around hospital departments.
  • Performs linen duties when assigned.
  • Keep housekeeping carts locked.
  • Cleans assigned area in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Keep housekeeping closet locked.
  • Cleans and prepares assigned areas dismissals and transfers in a timely manner to expedite patient admissions.

Qualifications
Minimum:
  • Ability to speak read write and to follow simple written and oral instructions.
  • Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use proper body mechanics when lifting.
  • Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of hospital housekeeping cleaning procedures and equipment preferred
  • HS or GED
  • Minimum six months experience in similiar hospital or commercial housekeeping environment preferred.

Pay Range
$20.23 - $23.04 /hour
