What does an Assistant Parts Manager at Hoffman Auto Group do?

Role Purpose

Assist Parts Manager in running a profitable and efficient parts department. Function as Parts Managers in the manager’s absence.

This position does not lead others

Core Accountabilities

• Maintain training as designated by manufacturer to be certified.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Make sure customer accounts are current. Collect past-due accounts as necessary.
• Maintain clean and orderly department.
• Review daily operation of counter staff and delegate tasks as needed.
• Sell parts to shop technicians. Sell parts to customers at established profit margins.
• Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds, bend, and reach overhead, squat and stoop.
• Follow all policies and procedures as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act Policy.
• Maintain balanced parts inventory, inform Parts Managers of any inventory problems.
• Obtain authorization as needed and file claim for damaged parts. Follow up with manufacturer to ensure all credits are posted.

Competencies and Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred
• Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
• Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
• Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
