Maple Farm Nursing Center, part of Garden Spot Communities, is currently seeking a Full Time Homemaker. Hours will include working either 6am - 2:30pm or 10am - 6:30pm.

Maple Farm Nursing Center offers an innovative model of short and long term skilled nursing within two warm and welcoming households situated on 66 acres in Akron, PA.

The Homemaker will work in our skilled nursing household.

Job Title: Homemaker

Status: Full Time; includes every other weekend

Shift: Day Shift working a combo of 6am - 2:30pm, 10am - 6:30pm

Salary Range: starting at $16.50/hr with Sign on for Life Bonus!

What will I do in this role with Maple Farm?

As a Homemaker, supporting the Garden Spot Communities' mission will include the following responsibilities:

• Carry out the function of the skilled nursing kitchen, including meal preparation, service and cleanup, as well as the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
• Fully integrate as a household team member with responsibilities in all facets of the resident's life.
• Guides residents as they develop a culture of home within each Household, encouraging residents' resilience, to thrive in the face of significant life challenges.

What do I need for this role with Maple Farm?

• Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
• Must be able to read menus, diet orders, recipes and understand measurement and categories of food for special diets.
• An understanding of and willingness to live out our mission and values, providing compassionate person-centered care to all residents.
• Must be efficient and organized, with a good sense of responsibility and a high degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe Certification.
