We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Northeast Dallas, TX area to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician established care plan.

This role is a full time, 1099 contract opportunity, with the current need being 12 hours per day (must be willing to work a 12 hour shift).

The current scheduling needs for this position will be established between the HHA/CNA, patient, and case manager.

Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care
• Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support
• Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
• Assist with the patients’ activities of daily living as well as personal care
• Transport and accompany patients to doctor or hospital visits
• Adhere to the patient’s established plan of care
• Remind patient of and administer medication as prescribed.
• Maintain records and documentation of daily services
• Communication with the patients’ family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient.
• Light housekeeping
• Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record
• Meal preparation

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
• Current First Aid certification
• Current CPR certification
• TB test & physical examination
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
• Ability to monitor vital signs
• Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a clinical or home health setting
• 1+ years of caregiving experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 1+ years of experience working in a clinical or home health setting
