Health Specialist Jobs

We are seeking a Health Specialist to become a valuable part of our team at FixidFitness! We are a Wellness facility with locations across Wisconsin specializing in mental and emotional wellness while also addressing clients' physical fitness needs. This position is dynamic in its duties and responsibilities, as you will have an opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life, including youth, teens, and all segments of adult populations.
Responsibilities:
Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement
Maintain client notes and records
Create non-judgmental spaces where the clients can express themselves and work through traumas in a constructive manner
Use psychological techniques such as motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and goal setting to help clients lead fulfilled lives and deal with traumas.
Monitor and instruct clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training exercises and equipment
Conduct intake meetings for new clients, including Medical History, Lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting
Training involves explaining and demonstrating exercises to ensure proper movement patterns while motivating the clients to reach their goals.
Ensure clients feel confident in their training program.
Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as Exercise Science, Psychology, Social Work, or other related (or in process of acquiring degree)
Personal Training Experience
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent communication skills
Strong writing skills and ability to submit documentation in a timely manner
Certification from: ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, ACE, or NASM (Or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.)
Preferred:
CPR - AED Certification
Master’s or higher in fields such as Exercise Science, Psychology, Social Work, or other related
Mental Health and/or Social Emotional Experience

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
