What You’ll Be Doing
As a full-time Health Fitness Professional, you'll build relationships as part of a small team while coordinating, implementing, and delivering health and fitness programs, services, promotions, and outreach activities onsite. We are responsible for providing outstanding in-person services to members & program participants to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction. Monday-Friday schedule, 11AM-7PM. Onsite group exercise program features a Strength & Conditioning Program (CrossFit style). Duties & accountabilities include:

• Contributes to an engaging community that drives member participation. Creates marketing communications.
• Research of health & fitness educational topics. Coordinates and delivers a variety of HealthFitness and program-specific health improvement programs & promotions. Promotes program offerings and conducts outreach activities to increase participation and re-engage inactive participants.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
• General facility supervision. Interacts with participants and monitors equipment and safety.
• Conducts fitness testing and assessments and advises participants of results. Designs individualized programs to meet the participant’s interests, abilities and goals.
• Designs and leads group Strength and Conditioning instruction classes (CrossFit Style). Educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness including Olympic lifts.
• Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants. Enrolls new participants and conducts facility, program and equipment orientations.

What You’ll Bring With You

• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
• Adaptable interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
• Strong presentation skills and professionalism with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
• Must have 1+ years of group exercise instruction. Ideal candidates will have a CrossFit certification, Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA, or a specialty certification.
• Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline or 2+ years’ fitness and wellness industry experience, along with fitness industry certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrated Proficiency in Olympic lifts.
